TIME is running out to secure your chance to see huge acts including Razorlight, Toploader and The South, featuring members of The Beautiful South, in Poole this month.
Poole Harbour Festival will welcome more than 50 artists to the town from Friday July 26 to Sunday July 28 which will see indie rock legends and top flight dance DJs, alongside some of the UK’s best tribute acts and the cream of the local live music scene, perform across four stages.
There are only a handful of tickets left for the festival and organiser are expecting a sell-out.
“This is fabulous news for Poole,” said festival organiser Serena Wren.
“There are just a few tickets remaining and we’re expecting our biggest ever crowd, which means thousands of live music fans from the local area and further afield will be in town over the festival weekend, providing a positive boost for local businesses and really putting Poole Harbour on the music festival map.”
Reformed Scouse pop band, The Coral, and long-standing festival favourites Reef will be joined by Southampton garage pioneers Artful Dodger and Poole Harbour regulars
In the dance tent, ravers old and new will find Cream legend Seb Fontaine, Euphoria queen Lisa Lashes and chart acts N-Trance and Ultrabeat, as well as cut-n-paste king Jaguar Skills.
“All the artists are really looking forward to playing to lively crowds in Poole and we’ve had a lot of interest from fans who are keen to see their heroes in a relatively intimate festival environment rather than at one of the summer’s mega-big mainstream festivals,” said Serena.
“Poole Harbour Festival feels like the original boutique festivals – well contained and very family-friendly with loads of great acts, really good food and drink, and lots of things to do for the kids.”
The tributes bill includes shows dedicated to Queen, Madness, Ed Sheeran, Amy Winehouse and, for the first time, Fleetwood Mac; while regional talent on show will find the likes of Mother Ukers, Blackwater County, Rat Race and singer songwriter Gaz Brookfield on stage.
A busy schedule of free children’s entertainment features top local acts such as Jules the Entertainer, Jamie Jigsaw, Krazy Kev and Jamie Jambo, as well the and the incredible Mad4Animals meet and greets, and the Amazing Dinosaur Shows when a procession of prehistoric puppets come out to say hello.
