Dorset back on screens for BBC Winterwatch

DORSET is back on TV as BBC nature show Winterwatch returns.

Hosts Michaela Strachan, Chris Packham and Iolo Williams have been at RSPB Arne for the new series, which hit screens on Tuesday night (January 21).

Four episodes of Winterwatch are set to be screened on the BBC, although live camera swill be available from the nature reserve 12 hours a day.

Nature fans might catch a glimpse of the likes of white-tailed sea eagles, foxes, deer, owls and more.

“It’s got everything,” said Mr Packham. “It’s got broadleaf woodland, pine woodland, heathland, and grassland, and then – of course – it’s got Poole Harbour with its salt marsh and mud and everything else, Brownsea Island and its lagoon.

“It’s an incredibly diverse range of habitats with a great range of species.”
