A SUMMER cruise around Poole Harbour will raise vital funds for a good cause.
Disability charity Diverse Abilities will host the event on August 24, setting sail at 7.30pm.
Organisers say the trip is an ‘incredible opportunity to experience panoramic views of Studland Bay, Sandbanks Peninsula, and Poole Harbour’s islands, including Brownsea Island, returning to Poole Quay’.
The evening will end with a firework finale at 10pm.
Sailors will be welcomed aboard the Purbeck Princess with a glass of prosecco, and have the opportunity to purchase drinks from the on-board bar, and enter a raffle to win an epic hamper, said Mariana Swain, events executive at Diverse Abilities.
“We are really looking forward to our fireworks cruise again this August, particularly after the success of last year’s event,” she added.
“We can’t wait to welcome our supporters on board for a relaxing evening cruise and firework finale, all in aid of Diverse Abilities.”
Money raised from the evening will go directly to Diverse Abilities to support more than 1,000 adults and children with disabilities, with more than 200,000 hours of care delivered across Dorset, she added.
Tickets for the three-hour cruise are available at diverseabilities.org.uk/fireworks for £25 per adult and £15 per child, with an option to add a delicious fish and chip supper for £8.
