CCTV appeal after car window broken in Poole and handbag stolen in broad daylight

POLICE have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to identify after a car in Poole was broken into in broad daylight last month.

A man reportedly smashed a window of a Mini Cooper which was parked up in the area of Tower Road West in Branksome between 12.10pm and 12.20pm on Thursday, January 16.

Police said a handbag, a bank card, cash and perfume were stolen from the car.

Someone then reportedly made two attempts to use the bank card later in the day.

Community support investigator Brett Hirst, of Poole Police, said: “An investigation is continuing into the incident, and we are now in a position to release a CCTV image of a man we’d like to identify as part of our enquiries.

“I would ask anyone who recognises this man to please get in touch.”
