POLICE are keen to identify this person after a Christchurch shop worker was allegedly spat at when confronting a suspected shoplifter.
The incident unfolded at around 2.15pm on Monday, January 20, when a staff member at Marks and Spencer in High Street confronted a woman suspected of shoplifting.
It was reported that the staff member was spat at by the woman after asking her to leave the shop, said Police Community Support Investigator Mike Cannings.

“We are continuing our enquiries into this incident and are now in a position to share a CCTV image of woman we would like to identify,” he said.
“I would ask anyone who recognises her to please get in touch.
“It is unacceptable for someone to be assaulted while doing their job and we are determined to identify those responsible.”
