Man forced entry to address near Dorchester

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man reportedly forced entry to an address in West Knighton and stole a set of keys.

A man who had his face covered and was wearing dark clothing, gloves, and a scarf forced entry to the address at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, January 21, police said.

A woman was inside the address at the time but police said she did not sustain any physical injuries.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to help their investigation.

Detective Constable Liam Moss, of Dorset County CID, said: “Our investigation is continuing and a number of enquiries have been carried out so far, including an examination of the scene and house-to-house enquiries.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the village around the relevant timeframe to please get in touch.

“If you live in the area and have a doorbell or CCTV camera, I would ask you to please check your footage for anything of relevance.

“Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team can be approached by anyone with information or concerns.”
