Man shoved into shelves at Aldi in Christchurch

A MAN fell into shelves at a Christchurch supermarket after being assaulted, police said.

Officers are investigating the incident, which occurred at Aldi, in Somerford Road, at around 3pm on Monday, December 30.

They said a man was reportedly assaulted by “a man known to him”, and was shoved, “causing him to fall into a set of shelves and sustain injuries to his torso”.

PC Tilly Blackley, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I understand it may have been witnessed by staff members and shoppers.

“I would urge anyone who saw what happened, or who has any information that might assist our investigation, to please contact us.”
