Picture appeal after woman assaulted near Dorchester

POLICE are appealing for help to identify a person they would like to speak to in connection with the alleged assault of a woman near Dorchester.

The incident unfolded in the Broadmayne area at around noon on Thursday, December 19, when a woman was reportedly assaulted by a man.

“It is alleged the man pushed the victim several times before grabbing her phone and throwing it to the floor,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.

PC Ran Hartman-Turner added: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and we are now in a position to release an image of a man we are looking to identify as part of our enquiries.

“While I appreciate his face is covered, I am hoping someone may still know who he is and I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”
