Second person charged over alleged stabbing of teen in Poole

A SECOND man has been charged in connection with an incident that saw a teenager stabbed in Poole.

Dorset Police received a report at 12.05am on Friday, August 23, of a disturbance at an address in Vale Road.

An 18-year-old man was found to have been assaulted and sustained stab wounds and was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

Following enquiries, a 15-year-old boy from Poole was arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and threatening with a bladed article. He is due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court today (September 26).

After further enquiries, a 19-year-old man from the Blandford area – who was previously arrested in connection with the incident – has been re-arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and threatening with a bladed article. He is also due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court today.

Detectives have previously made a number of other arrests in connection with the incident:
• A 16-year-old girl from Bournemouth arrested on suspicion of affray remains on police bail
• A 16-year-old boy from Poole arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains on police bail
• A 17-year-old boy from Poole arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender remains on police bail
• A 15-year-old boy from Poole arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains on police bail
• Another 16-year-old boy from Poole arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains on police bail
• A 16-year-old boy from Poole arrested on suspicion of affray and assisting an offender remains on police bail
• A 56-year-old man from Poole arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender remains released under investigation
• A 35-year-old woman from Poole arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender remains released under investigation.
