A MAN came forward after a CCTV appeal following an incident in Poole last month.
Officers investigating the incident, which occurred between 10pm and 10.30pm on Saturday, September 21, said a woman in her 30s was injured after she felt a pain in her stomach as she walked near Orchard Plaza.
“The woman reported that she had been struck by some kind of projectile, possibly a pellet from an air weapon or BB gun,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said. “She sustained bruising to her stomach as a result.
“Immediately after the incident, the victim saw a man looking at her and laughing.
“She went to challenge him and the man was reportedly abusive towards her, before making off from the scene.”
They added: “Following a CCTV appeal, a man aged in his 20s has come forward and is assisting officers with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.”
