A MAN suffered serious injuries on the A35 Christchurch Bypass on Thursday (March 14).
Police are appealing for information after the man was found injured between the Purewell Cross and Somerford roundabouts at around 12.46pm.
A road closure was put in place to allow emergency services to safely deal with the incident.
The cyclist – a Christchurch man in his 50s – was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
PC Calum Maton, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident to establish the full circumstances of what happened and how the cyclist came to sustain his injury.
“I would like to hear from any motorists driving in the area who may have captured dashcam footage of what occurred.
“Road closures were put in place to allow the emergency services to respond to this incident and I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during this time.”
