A MAN suffered a serious head injury after he was assaulted on Swanage High Street.
The attack took place at 9.45pm on Monday (June 30).
Purbeck Police said the victim was taken to hospital for his injuries.

They added that a number of people were in the area at the time of the assault and are appealing for anyone who saw anything and has not yet spoken to police to get in touch.
The area was cordoned off overnight while officers dealt with the incident, but it has since reopened.
