A BODY has been found in the search for a missing man believed to have been in the Swanage area.
Police said a body was sadly found near Old Harry Rocks at around 12.05pm on Friday (September 13).
“While formal identification has not yet taken place, it is believed to be a missing man who was last seen at around 1pm on Thursday, September 12, and was likely to be in the Swanage area,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and next of kin have been informed. Our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time.
“We would like to thank everyone who was involved in the searches, including HM Coastguard, Dorset Search and Rescue (DorSAR), the NPAS helicopter, Wessex Rescue, Wessex 4X4 Response and Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.”
