A WOMAN was sexually assaulted after speaking to a man in Christchurch.
The incident happened in the area of Barrack Road and Bargates at around 3.30am on Saturday, May 27.
The woman, in her 20s, spoke to a man who was sitting on a bench before he sexually assaulted her, said police.
The man is described as white, of medium build and with a moustache. He was wearing black clothing and carrying a camouflage rucksack.
Detective Inspector Ben Griffin, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and we have now obtained an image of a man we would like to identify as part of our enquiries.
“I would urge anyone with information regarding his identity to please contact us.
“Officers are continuing to support the victim as we continue to investigate all available lines of enquiry.”
