Fishing without a licence in Christchurch ends in £250 fine

FISHING without a licence ended up costing one man an appearance in court.

Martin Williamson, c/o Huntsman’s Keep, Gosport Lane, Lyndhurst, Hampshire, appeared before magistrates in Poole on May 18 charged with fishing without a licence on between June 2 and 5 last year at Christchurch.

The 48-year-old denied the charge but was found guilty and fined £250.

Williamson was also ordered to pay court costs of £100 and a victim surcharge of £34.
