A MAN has died after a flat fire in Poole.
Firefighters were called to the property, in Thorncombe Close, in Canford, at around 1am on Sunday morning (September 10).
The man, in his 40s, was brought out of the property by firefighters, but despite the efforts of emergency crews was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, Dorset Police said
An investigation into the cause of the blaze is underway, and the man’s family has been informed and the coroner notified.
The Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said three crews from Poole and one from Redhill Park had attended the incident.
A neighbour was also taken to hospital after the blaze, but their condition is not thought to be serious.
