THE award-winning Museum of East Dorset in Wimborne Minster is launching its new temporary exhibition, Tinker, Tailor, Cappuccino Maker, tomorrow (Saturday, April 1).
The exhibition showcases historical photographs from the museum’s collection alongside newly commissioned images of current day traders in Wimborne.
Entry is free with usual museum admission and will run until October 2023.
April also sees the return of the 50p secondhand book sale – a wide selection is available in the two dedicated book rooms in the Information Centre.
The popular Little Explorers morning on Tuesday, April 11, will include Easter and spring-themed arts, crafts and stories, along with a garden trail. Admission is £3.50 per child and entry is via the Tea Room.
Lead gardener Simon will lead a tour of the walled garden on Wednesday, April 19, and tickets priced £9, including a hot drink and slice of cake, can be booked on the website.
A host of upcoming tours and workshops for spring, include an Introduction to Photography, Printmaking (linocut), Calligraphy and more.

All these events support the museum’s fundraising efforts, with profits going towards the running of the museum.
The museum and tea room is open 10am-4.30pm, Monday to Saturday.
