DRAMATIC video footage of a rockfall on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset has emerged.
The film, from the Environment Agency, shows the moment two rockfalls occurred at around 10.54am on January 18 at West Bay.
The Jurassic Coast Trust posted the footage online.
“This video captures the rockfall that happened last Wednesday morning at West Bay,” it said.
“These natural processes keep our world-famous coastline beautiful and valuable, but they also pose a danger.
“Rockfalls like this happen without warning and they are more likely to occur after periods of heavy rain.
“Stay clear of the cliff edge, keep a good distance from the base of the cliffs and do not linger below them.”
Dorset Council added: “Stay safe on the coast, stay clear of the cliff edge and away from the base of cliffs.”
The rockfall occurred in almost the same spot as a previous incident in 2019, the trust said.
