A GROUP of young people jumped on cars, kicked wing mirrors and threw glass bottles at windscreens in a Weymouth street.
The gang – described as males and females aged between 13 and their early 20s – is alleged to have damaged a number of parked vehicles in Wooperton Street between 8pm and 9pm on Monday (September 11).
“They jumped on multiple vehicles, kicked wing mirrors and threw glass bottles at the windscreens,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.
“The group was then seen travelling from Wooperton Street to Park Street and then possibly towards the area of Westham Bridge.”
PC Bryce Scott-Jones, of Weymouth and Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “I am really keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or who may have relevant camera footage of this incident recorded on their home security cameras.
“Also, if your vehicle was parked in the area and you have received any damage that has not yet been reported to police, please get in touch.”
