BUDDING rugby players in Purbeck have been wearing brand-new shirts thanks to a sponsorship by an early years education and childcare provider.
Tops Day Nurseries, which has a nursery in Wareham, has sponsored the Swanage and Wareham RFC’s Under 7s and Under 8s teams.
Martin Hill, chairperson at Swanage and Wareham RFC, has thanked Tops for their commitment.

“Thanks to Tops’ support, our young players are now proudly sporting brand-new rugby shirts, helping them look and feel the part as they take to the field,” he said.
“This generous contribution not only unites our teams visually but also strengthens the sense of community and pride among our players, parents, and coaches.
“Rugby is more than a sport; it’s about teamwork, discipline, and building lifelong friendships.

Tops say the sponsorship is in line with the nurseries’ mission to nurture the growth and development of children both in the nursery setting and beyond.
