A MAN has been arrested after a crash in Poole which left two people with serious injuries.
The incident, which involved a blue Skoda Octavia and a bus, happened in Wallisdown Road, near the Mountbatten roundabout, at just after 8pm on Christmas Eve (December 24).
Road closures were put in place as emergency services responded to the incident.
The driver of the Skoda, a man, and his female passenger, both in their 30s, “sustained injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening and were taken to hospital for treatment”, police said.
“Two passengers from the bus were also treated at the scene for minor injuries.”
After enquiries by Dorset Police’s Roads Policing Team, a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. He has been released under investigation as further investigative work is carried out.
“Officers are continuing to appeal for any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or any motorists with relevant dashcam footage, to come forward,” a police spokesperson added.
