Three-year-old hit by car outside primary school in Poole

A THREE-year-old boy was injured after being hit by a car outside a Poole primary school.

The incident happened at around 8.23am in Talbot Drive, near Talbot Primary School, this morning (Tuesday, March 19).

The three-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

A road closure was put in place while emergency services safely dealt with the incident, before it was lifted at around 10.05am.

PC Kier Dagnall, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am carrying out an investigation into the circumstances of this incident and am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police.

“I am also appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area with a dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check the footage for anything of relevance to assist my enquiries.”
