TV PRESENTER Fearne Cotton, actress Emilia Fox and Harry and Sandra Redknapp are among celebrities endorsing a Dorset hospice charity’s bereavement service as a special challenge allows people to double their donations.
They were joined by former AFC Bournemouth chair Jeff Mostyn in producing video messages to encourage the public to pledge their support for Big Give’s Christmas Challenge, which raises vital funds for the Lewis-Manning Family Support & Bereavement Service.
The Big Give Christmas Challenges runs from November 28 to December 5 and has the strapline, ‘one donation, twice the impact’, as all donations are matched funded’.
For seven days, the challenge offers supporters of participating charities the opportunity to double their donations.
The match funding for the campaign is being provided by a number of philanthropic champions, with more than 1,000 charities taking part.
Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is taking part to raise funds to help people in Dorset struggling to come to terms with a life-limiting diagnosis or cope with a bereavement.
Director of fundraising, Tom Goodinge, said: “We are hugely grateful to Harry, Jeff, Emilia and Fearne, offering their time to produce these videos and support this fundraising initiative.
“All funds raised will support our Family Support and Bereavement Service this festive season.”
Donate to Lewis-Manning Hospice Care before December 5 at https://donate.biggive.org/campaign/a056900002RXtd0AAD and donations will be automatically doubled.
