A MAN has been charged with causing the death of a woman from Weymouth in a crash last year.
The incident, on Rye Hill, Bere Regis, happened at around 5pm on Sunday, September 18, involving a blue Mazda MX5, a silver Ford C Max and a white Suzuki Inglis.
A passenger in the Suzuki – a 62-year-old woman from the Weymouth area – died at the scene.
A man aged in his 40s from Poole and a woman aged in her 30s from Yeovil were taken to hospital for treatment. The woman sustained life-changing injuries.
After the incident, a 50-year-old man from Poole attended for a voluntary police interview in relation to the incident.
Following a detailed investigation by officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team, he has been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 15, 2023 for offences of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving and causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving.
