Arrest after man suffered suspected stab wound in Christchurch incident

A MAN has been arrested in connection with an alleged serious assault in Christchurch which left the victim with a suspected stab wound.

Dorset Police are investigating after a man in his 30s was treated for injuries following an altercation in Fairmile Road on Thursday, December 8.

Officers attended the scene at around 4.51pm.

The man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. He has since left hospital.

Following extensive enquiries by detectives from Bournemouth CID, a 29-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and robbery.

He has been released on police bail as detectives carry out further enquiries.
