A BODY has been found in the search for a missing Purbeck teenager.
Jack Gillespie was last seen in Worth Matravers in the early hours of Saturday morning (June 10).
Police officers searching for the 17-year-old now say they have recovered a body.
“Searches were carried out with support from the coastguard and Dorset Search and Rescue (DorSAR),” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.
“At around 9.15pm on Saturday 10 June 2023, officers very sadly found a body in the area.
“While formal identification has yet to take place, Jack’s family has been informed.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been notified.
“We would like to thank all those who assisted with the searches and our thoughts are with Jack’s family and loved ones at this extremely difficult time.”
So Sad such a Loverly Young Man whom ive had the Pleasure of onowing all his life .
He was Kind friendly a joker and all around a Lad who would put others first .
He will be sadly missed within the comunity .
And sadly missed by friends and both his working Family and his own Family
