Casualties taken to hospital after crash on A31 at Bere Regis

A CRASH on a busy Dorset road left people needing hospital treatment.

The incident, on the A31 junction with Bere Road, Bere Regis, happened at around noon on Sunday (July 16).

It involved a grey Honda Civic and a black Range Rover, with the driver of the Range Rover and a passenger taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be serious.

The occupants of the Honda were treated at the scene by the ambulance service for minor injuries.

PC Simon Hatch, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish what happened and would ask any motorists who saw what happened to please come forward.

“I understand a dark-coloured transit-style vehicle was in the area at the time of the collision and I would ask the driver to please come forward as you may have important information to assist my investigation.

“Finally, I would urge anyone who was travelling on the A31 at the relevant time and has a dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check for any footage.”
