A POLICE probe has been launched after allegations of dangerous driving in a car that was later abandoned outside a Tesco.
The incident, at around 2.20pm on Tuesday, August 15, ended when a silver Vauxhall Zafira was abandoned outside the store, in Waterloo Road.
“It was reported that the car had been driven dangerously from Blandford Road through Oakdale before two men were seen decamping from it,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.
A 36-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and a 26-year-old man, also from Bournemouth, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug class A. Both men were released under investigation.
PC Tom Henley, of Poole police, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to the incident who have not spoken with police yet to please contact us.
“Also, I would like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevant dashcam footage.”
