A CITIZENS Advice worker will be looking for a different kind of support when he takes on a marathon for the charity.
Adam Spong, an advice session supervisor for Citizens Advice East Dorset & Purbeck, is running the Brighton Marathon to raise much-needed funds for the service on April 7.
After completing two half marathons in 2023, Adam is now set to take on his first ever marathon.
“I will be attempting to run my first marathon in Brighton raising money for Citizens Advice East Dorset & Purbeck,” he said.
“I’ve been lucky enough to have been a part of this amazing charity for eight years having started as a volunteer while at university.
“We provide much needed advice and support for local people and I see daily the difference the charity makes to people’s lives.”
Increasing demand for help meant the charity needed funds more than ever, Adam said.
“We are seeing an ever-increasing demand in our service and with future funding not guaranteed, I really would welcome any support,” he added.
“All donations will go towards helping others who are in need and who live in our local community.”
Adam is running with two other people who have connections with Citizens Advice East Dorset & Purbeck. To find out more, including how to donate, visit www.edpcitizensadvice.org.uk/fundraising.
