LOCAL choir the Belvedere Singers promise something for everyone in a concert at St Mary’s Church in the town.
Music director Clive Watkiss has expanded the Belvs’ repertoire with music from many centuries, to provide a varied programme once again.
Concert-goers can expect songs from Tudor and Victorian times, together with a medley of well-known favourites from Broadway, plus some less familiar pieces.
The concert also includes a beautiful Ukrainian love song sung in Ukrainian.
The choir will be joined by guest trumpet soloist Martin Ings, who has played professionally in many capacities, including with the English National Ballet in London and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
The concert is on Saturday, May 13, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £7 (under-18s free), available in advance from choir members or on the door.
A retiring collection will be held in aid of Purbeck Connect Ukraine.
