SUPER snapper Doug Chalk – known for his quality photographs of Dorset and beyond – has captured a top award.

Aperture Photographics, run by the New Blackmore Vale’s resident photography judge Doug, was named the winner of the Artisans and Market Vendors category at the 2023 Bridport Business Awards.

The judges said they were ‘inspired by the quality of this winner’s product and the artistic skill he obviously has’.

“The judges commented that they were able to see the winner loved what he does, has a passion for his work and that buyers loved the end product,” the award result added.

Aperture is well known for producing the annual Colmer’s Hill Calendar.
