Teen cyclist, 15, suffers “serious injuries” in Poole crash

A TEENAGE cyclist suffered “serious injuries” after a crash in Poole.

The 15-year-old was involved in a crash involving a bicycle and a car at the junction of Broom Road and Mannings Heath Road at around 11.53am on Friday (October 20).

Emergency services attended and the teen, from Poole, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Road closures were put in place as the emergency services responded and for an examination of the collision scene. No arrests were made.

Police Sergeant Mike Burt, of the Dorset Road Safety team, said: “We are conducting a detailed investigation to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses to the incident.

“I would also urge anyone who may have captured any relevant dashcam footage to please contact us.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures as these were necessary to allow the emergency services to respond and for an examination of the scene to be conducted.”
