A WOMAN was hit in the face ‘a few times’ during an assault in Poole.
The incident happened some time between 8am and 10am on Friday, April 21, near the underpass by the Adastral Road roundabout, but was reported to police on Friday, April 28.
A woman in her 40s was approached by two men, who shouted something to her and then one of them hit her in the face a few times, said police.
She then ran to the nearby Co-op store. The victim sustained a split lip and facial bruising.
PC Kristian Budden, of Dorset Police, said: “Unfortunately, the only description we have of the two men is that one of them was holding a bottle of cider and the other one had a yellow bike with him.
“The area would have been busy at that time of day and I am hoping that somebody may have witnessed what happened and can help with our enquiries.
“Also, I would ask any motorists who were in the area during the relevant time period and have dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check their footage as you might have captured something that could assist us.”
