A WOMAN said a man hit her around the head as she was cycling in Wareham.

Police are appealing for information after an incident near Wareham Quay at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, July 25.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “It is reported that the man hit her around the head.

“Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries.”

PC Stuart Wilson, of Wareham police, added: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I have obtained an image of a man I would like to speak to.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding his identity to please come forward.”
