Stoppage time heartache for Swans

Swans suffered a 3-2 stoppage time defeat against high-flying Bournemouth Sports at Chapel Gate in The Jewson Dorset Premier League.

The hosts hit the bar after 5 minutes then the Swans hit back and went close through the hard-working Adesoji. Charlie Dyke fired the Swans ahead on 30 minutes courtesy of a penalty following handball. Swans doubled their lead 4 minutes later when Jake Streams scored with a superb free kick from just outside the box. H.T. 0-2.

The hosts produced the best possible start to the second half, scoring within a minute through Callum Charlton. The Title contenders were now in the ascendency and enjoying the lion’s share of the play, however the Swans always looked dangerous on the break.

Taylor Hibbs produced an outstanding save to protect the lead and Streams went close at the other end. The home side equalised courtesy of a penalty by Sam Darlow. Steele went close for the Swans and the hosts had a great chance to take the lead but Taylor Hibbs produced a fantastic double save to deny Sam Darlow from the penalty spot and the rebound. Jake Streams was then denied by the woodwork when his shot rebounded to safety.

The drama then unfolded with the game deep into stoppage time when Sam Darlow completed his brace with the winner to break the hardworking Swans’ hearts and send them home empty handed. A cruel way to lose the game after producing a great team display.
