A new exhibition at Gallery On The Square, Poundbury, offers a rare chance to catch up with the recent work of Dorset painter Teresa Lawton.

Teresa is an artist firmly rooted in Dorset and the South-West, but her work can be found in collections all over the world. Her paintings have been acquired by a number of well-known figures, including singers, songwriters and playwrights, as well as by the chief executive of Christie’s and the chairman of Phillips Auction House London/New York.

Born in Dorset and a graduate of Winchester College of Art,Teresa lived for some time in Cornwall during her developing years as a painter, and the mid 20th century St Ives artists have always been an influence throughout her career. She is an associate member of The Penwith Gallery, St Ives.

The exhibition at Gallery On The Square runs until Wednesday,May 3.
