POLICE are investigating after a woman was allegedly assaulted in a Poole supermarket car park.
The incident, in the Sainsbury’s car park in Pitwines Close, was reported to police at around 2.30pm on Friday, May 31.
The victim suffered bruising to her face and collar bone as a result of the incident.
A 22-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman – both from Poole – were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
They have been released on police bail as further enquiries are carried out.
The two people arrested and the injured woman are reported to be known to each other.
PC Tyler Mcwalter, of Poole police, said: “Our investigation into this incident remains ongoing and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.
“I would urge anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please come forward.”
