A CYCLIST was airlifted to hospital after a crash near Wareham.
The incident happened near The Silent Woman pub on Bere Road, Coldharbour, at around 7.45pm on Thursday evening (January 19).
It involved a white Citroen Dispatch van, driven by a local man in his 50s, and a male cyclist from Poole in his 30s.
The cyclist was air lifted to hospital with serious injuries.
PC Tracey Downer, of the Dorset Police traffic unit, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to the collision who have not yet spoken with police to please come forward.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage that could assist our investigation.”
