Firefighters save building from pallet blaze in Christchurch

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze started in pallets against a building in Christchurch.

Crews were called to Airfield Way at around 12.20am this morning (December 20), where they found “a stack of pallets alight up against a building”.

A spokesperson for the Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said they used a hose reel jet to extinguish before it could escalate and spread to the property, “where the brickwork was beginning to char”.
