Swans Ladies 1 J.P. Morgan Recreational 2

Swanage Town & Herston’s newly formed Ladies Team produced a great display but suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat against JP Morgan Recreational on a sunny Sunday afternoon at Day’s Park.

The first half was equal with both sides creating chances. Georgina Thomas went close for the Swans and keeper Trulli Pearce produced some great saves to maintain the clean sheet. The JP Morgan keeper denied Chantel Marriott who hit a great shot destined for the top corner. H.T. 0-0.

Swans had good possession in the second period with Byron and Voysey prominent on both wings. However the visitors took the lead with a quality cross and a finish from close range. The visitors doubled their lead with a great strike from the edge of the box which flew into the top corner. The Swans showed plenty of determination and deservedly reduced the arrears courtesy of Jess Levitt who scored with a good shot from an acute angle.
