A 75-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl on a bus from Dorchester to Weymouth.

The alleged incident is said to have unfolded after the pair travelled on a number 10 bus between noon and 1pm on Thursday, April 27.

Dorset Police said a man engaged a teenage girl in conversation as they travelled.

“He then allegedly grabbed her and kissed her in the area of Weymouth train station,” a spokesperson added.

A 75-year-old local man was arrested and, following enquiries by officers, has been charged with sexual assault, they added.

He is due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, December 13.
