Swanage driver banned for using mobile phone behind the wheel

A SWANAGE man has been banned from driving after using his mobile phone behind the wheel.

Daniel Paul Lockwood, of Cauldron Barn Farm Park, appeared before magistrates on Thursday (October 5) in Poole charged with using his phone while driving in Upton Road, Poole, on May 17 last year.

He was found guilty of the offence and banned from driving for 56 days after six points were added to his driving record.

The 43-year-old was also fined £400 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £160 and court costs of £620.
