Solicitors – and their dogs – get muddy for a good cause

A TEAM of solicitors – and their furry friends – got muddy for a good cause.

Fundraisers from Ellis Jones Solicitors went on walkies with a difference when they took part in a Muddy Dog Dash at Upton Country Park on Sunday (March 26).

They stepped out for the fun run alongside dozens of others in aid of Lewis Manning Hospice Care’s 30 for 30 campaign, which aims to raise £30,000 in the charity’s 30th anniversary year.

Leading the way for the Dorset law firm were Raluca Parker with Lucy, Daisy Kershaw with Poppy, Paige Abbott with Maddie and Jessica Khelifi with Molly.

They showed dogged determination to race through muddy trails and tackle obstacles as they negotiated the course.

Nigel Smith, managing partner at Ellis Jones Solicitors, said: “Well done to all of our intrepid team and their dogs.

“We’re proud to support such a worthwhile local charity as Lewis Manning Hospice Care, which provides an incredibly valuable service for people at a time when they need it the most.

“We’re looking forward to the next fundraisers to help the charity hit its £30,000 target.”

Lewis Manning Hospice Care’s 30 for 30 campaign aims to enlist 30 businesses to each raise £1,000 to raise £30,000, enough to fund a nurse for a year.

Ellis Jones has already passed the half way mark with sponsorship from the Muddy Dog Dash.

Lewis Manning Hospice Care helps people with life limiting illnesses and their families across Poole, Purbeck and East Dorset.
